Doug is a charming 8-year old Bull Terrier who has been in care at Hunter Valley Animal Facility and Rehoming Centre for over 4 years....that's over half of his life. Through no fault of his own, Doug has found himself isolated and dreaming of a loving family home he truly deserves. Affectionately known as the Shelter Gentleman, Doug is gentle, kind, and endlessly loving.

Animals like Doug bring meaning to our participants, who attend our programs each week in shelters across Australia to care for, socialise with, and show love to them as they wait to be adopted and find their homes. In return, loyal dogs like Doug give back that love and care, creating purpose, connection, and joy for our participants.
